Jefferson 170, Hedgesville 173, Goretti 189: Rusty Staubbs beat the field, shooting a 40 to lead the Cougars to a triangular match victory at Beaver Creek.

Matt Stickel led Hedgesville with a 41, and Josh Spreng was low man for Goretti at 41.

Hagerstown Church Softball

Gateway 19, Bethel/Chewsville 10: Tim Hose, George Brothers, Bill Yost and Frank Yost each had four hits to lead Gateway over Bethel/Chewsville. Frank Yost also added two home runs for the winners.

Pinesburg Softball

Craig's Paving 24, Pick's Place 2 17: Gary Shroads and Chris Davis each had four hits and two home runs to lead Craig's Paving. Brian Smith and Mark Manuel added four hits each, Jeff Schlotterbeck had three hits and Eddie Domenico homered for the winners.

Ernst Market 24, Hagerstown Reps 12: Ron Avey had six hits as Ernst Market tied the series at 1-1 with the Hagerstown Reps. Mike Shupp added five hits, while Jim Fitz, Mike Hoffman and Jeff Beatty all had four hits each for the winners. Fitz also homered.

West End 12, J&W Mechanical 11: Denny Bryan had three hits with a game-winning two-run home run to lead West End over J&W Mechanical. Rob Rubisch, Billy Spence and Dave Hardesty added two hits each for West End. J&W was led by Jeff Seilhammer who had two hits. The best of five series is now tied, 1-1.
