Road projects up for bid

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A contract will be put out for bid on Tuesday by the West Virginia Division of Highways for construction of the Schwab Industrial Access Road in Berkeley County, W.Va.

Leading south from U.S. 11, the Swearingen access road will be improved to provide two, 12-foot lanes with 10-foot shoulders. The Schwab Industrial Access Road will extend from it, providing two, 11-foot lanes and similar shoulders.

Up for bid on Sept. 15, is a project to bring the signal on Washington Street at Fairfax Road in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., up to current standards.
