St. Lawrence Cement

Billy Lee Kline retired recently from St. Lawrence Cement Co. after 35 years.

Kline has worked as a laborer, shale unloader, stone storage operator, auto repairman, trailer truck driver, bulldozer operator, tube miller, relief control room operator, relief mechanic, welder/repairman, and, for the past 12 years, as quarry supervisor.

Whitetail Resort

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Five Whitetail Resort employees recently received American Red Cross Emergency Response Certification.

They are Judy Boyd, guest services manager; Jeff White, director of rentals and mountain biking; Jay Fandl, assistant rental manager; John Kee, mountain bike school director and Mark Stoner, snowmaking supervisor.

They completed the 50-hour course work and passed a certification test.

FREDERICK, Md. - Mackintosh Realtors' Frederick office recently announced the its top sales associates for June. Tim McGrath was recognized as top producer and top sales professional. Sue Chapin received top listings obtained honors. Both Chapin and McGrath topped $1 million in sales. Nancy Green, Brian Greenberg, Cookie Huffman and Jackie Kolb surpassed $500,000 in sales.


Also, Cinnamon Smith, of Monrovia, Md., recently joined the residential sales team at the firm's Frederick office.

Andrew Smith has joined the Audit Department as a senior associate.

Terri Shoemaker is a staff associate in the Audit Department.

Keller-Stonebraker Insurance Group, of Hagerstown, has been named to State Auto Insurance Companies' Inner Circle, the highest award presented by the regional insurer.

The achievement honors agencies that demonstrate outstanding sales, service and business management.

Chambersburg Hospital

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Susan Strubhar has been promoted to nurse manager, behavioral health services, at Chambersburg Hospital. She is responsible for management of the inpatient Mental Health Unit.

Also, Gregory Rhoads, director of environmental services, was recently installed as the new Penn-Jersey district director. Rhoads will complete the four-year term recently vacated by Rick Lillo on the I.E.H.A. board of directors. Rhoads was previously assistant district director for the Penn-Jersey area.

City Hospital

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - City Hospital has announced that Dr. Troy Foster has joined the medical staff.

He specializes in orthopedic surgery.

Cox Nichols Hollida CPAs and Consultants in Martinsburg and Charles Town, W.Va., has been accepted as a member by CPA Associates International.

American Diabetes Association

Cinda Cushen Showalter was recently named executive director of the American Diabetes Association in Maryland.

Showalter, a Hagerstown native living in Mount Airy, Md., has more than 12 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations.

As executive director, she is the lead staff er in Maryland working with staff and volunteers in the field.

Garlock Manor Nursing Home

Barbara Midtgaard, of Garlock Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, was named Certified Nursing Assistant of the Year for Washington County by the Tri-County Directors of Nursing Association.

The association is made up of directors of nursing from health-care centers in Washington, Frederick and Carroll counties. Each year a nurse, a certified nursing assistant and a certified medicine aide from each county is honored. They are nominated by co-workers.

Midtgaard, of Hagerstown, has worked for Garlock Manor Nursing Home for 91/2 years.

FREDERICK, Md. - Fox & Associates Inc. has hired Gary F. Crouse as director of surveys for its Frederick office.

Crouse is a registered surveyor in Maryland and West Virginia.

Lutheran Home Care Services

Lutheran Home Care Services Inc. has named Denise Stauffer Employee of the Month for July.

Stauffer, a home health aid II who lives in Cascade, Md., has worked for Lutheran Home Care Services for three years.

Myersville Internal Medicine and Pediatrics

MYERSVILLE, Md. - Myersville Internal Medicine and Pediatrics has added Dr. Leo F. Kenzakowski to the practice.

Kenzakowski is board-eligible in both internal medicine and pediatrics.

Myersville Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, the former Myersville Family Practice, is owned by Washington County Hospital and managed by Antietam Health Services Inc.
