William R. Joyner

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - William R. Joyner, 66, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.

Born July 24, 1932, in Franklinton, N.C., he was the son of the late John Henry and Frances Cook Joyner.

He retired from the U.S. Army as a master sergeant, having served during the Vietnam War and the Korean War.

He is survived by a son, William H. Joyner of Florida; a sister, Margie Wilson of Rolesville, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Geraldine Elizabeth Ann Buracker, 80, of Shepherdstown, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at City Hospital.

Born Aug. 26, 1917, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Clem Leo and Irene Sanders Wilson and stepdaughter of Bessie Griffith Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin Elwood Buracker and her second husband, Carlton Virts.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Brunswick, Md.; and AARP.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Barnisky of Shepherdstown and Deborah Collis of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; three sons, Michael Buracker of Shepherdstown, Robert Buracker of Lansdale, Pa. and Richard Buracker of Ranson, W.Va.; two sisters, Phyllis Yeager of Brunswick and Elizabeth Knight of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; three brothers, Wesley Wilson of Rocky Mountain, Md., Delano Wilson of Keedysville and Eugene Wilson of Brunswick; 27 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor Ann Jewell; three sisters, Augusta Lee Wilson, Irma Lewis and Mary Waters; and three brothers, Paul Glenn, Robert Wilson and William Wilson.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson, W.Va. Pastor Joseph Burwell will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, W.Va.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ella P. Butler

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Ella Pearline McDonald Butler, 74, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at City Hospital.

Born Jan. 9, 1924, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Mary Jane "Mazie" Aikens McDonald.

She was employed by Perfection Garment for 14 years; and had retired from London Fog Manufacturing, Boonsboro, after 21 years of service.

She was a member of Arden United Methodist Church from more than 50 years.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Arthur Butler; two sons, Jim Butler and John Butler, both of Inwood, W.Va.; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Millard W. McDonald Sr. and Marlin R. McDonald; an infant sister, Mary Savannah McDonald; and a great-grandson.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Arden United Methodist Church. Entombment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.

Memorial donations may be made to Arden United Methodist Church, Route 1, Box 217AA, Martinsburg, W.Va. 25401.

Jennifer R. Robinson

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Jennifer R. Robinson, 20, of Hedgesville, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 1998, at West Virginia University Hospital.

Born Jan. 16, 1978, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of June Robinson Edwards and stepdaughter of Kenneth Edwards.

She was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by half sister, Kelly Edwards of Hedgesville.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, W.Va. The Rev. Keith G. Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Johnsontown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Calvin L. Goller

CHERRY RUN, W.Va. - Calvin Lunger "Joe" Goller, 79, of Cherry Run, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Born Oct. 5, 1918, in Cherry Run, he was the son of Laura May Michael Goller of Cherry Run and the late George A. Goller.

He attended Mount Trimble School, Cherry Run.

He retired after 49 years of service with O'Donnell's Sea Grill, Bethesda, Md.

He was a member of Michaels Chapel United Methodist Church, Cherry Run.

He was a member of Almas Temple Masonic Lodge 1, Washington, D.C.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Georgina M. Blaine of Beltsville, Md. and Anita L. Pierce of Advance, N.C.; a son, Jeffrey L. Goller of College Park, Md.; a sister, Patsy Hessler of Cherry Run; a brother, Jack Stotler of Cherry Run; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
