Hagerstown Trust

Three Hagerstown Trust officers were named executive officers at a recent board of directors meeting.

They are Mark Harrell, vice president retail banking; Heather Myers, vice president investment services & Trust Department; and Dave Barnhart, vice president marketing.

Blue Ridge Bank

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A corporate and an employee donation from Blue Ridge Bank in support of the new Gateway Regional Cancer Treatment and Rehabilitation Center has been presented to the Gateway Foundation.

Blue Ridge Bank contributed $10,000 with a corporate gift to the foundation's capital campaign, which has a community goal of $750,000.


The bank's employees raised an additional $256 to give to the new facility being built on the campus of City Hospital in Martinsburg. On Fridays during the month of May, employees could buy a "casual" day for one dollar, allowing them to wear their bank T-shirts during regular business hours.

Blue Ridge Bank

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Blue Ridge Bank has announced the addition of C. William Hammond as vice president.

Hammond will work in business development as well as establish the Martinsburg branch of City Financial Corp., a brokerage affiliate of Blue Ridge Bank.

Hammond served most recently as president and CEO of F & M Bank of Martinsburg.

Operation School Supply

Hagerstown Trust, in cooperation with the Hagerstown Jaycees, will have drop boxes in branch locations as part of the bank's corporate support for Operation School Supply. The program provides needy school children with school supplies such as pencil, pens and pocket folders.

Drop boxes will be in the bank's branch offices through the third week of August. Anyone can donate rulers, erasers, pencil boxes, glue sticks, composition books, safety scissors or three ring binders.

Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance

A Hagerstown-area agent was recently honored for sales excellence during the 118th Annual Meeting of Agents of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co.

Ed H. Lough received the Diamond award for sales in excess of $10 million.

He is associated with Northwestern Mutual's Ed H. Lough District Agency in Hagerstown, of the Donald R. Iodice General Agency in Baltimore.

American Advanced Computers

American Advanced Computers Inc., based in Hagerstown and Williamsport, recently became a Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider.

The company had to meet strict guidelines from Microsoft to achieve the certification.

Keller-Stonebraker Insurance

The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors recently honored Dennis Corapi, of Keller-Stonebraker Insurance in Hagerstown, for dedication and leadership in the insurance industry.

Corapi was awarded a certificate of achievement recognizing five consecutive years of active affiliation with the society.

Corapi's CIC designation signifies a commitment to advanced knowledge and customer service.

Gateway Foundation

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Christina Johnson has been promoted to director of development for the Gateway Foundation Inc., which is funding the new Gateway Regional Cancer Treatment Center at City Hospital in Martinsburg.

A capital campaign is under way to raise $750,000 for services and programs in the new facility.

Johnson's responsibilities with the foundation include fund raising and developing projects.
