2 sought in Pa. burglaries

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are searching for two people in connection with a pair of burglaries that occurred last year at the Exxon Service Station on Interstate 70 near the Warfordsburg, Pa., exit.

The first incident occurred at 12:49 a.m. July 27, 1997, and the second at 2:36 a.m. Oct. 6, 1997, according to state police.

In each instance, two people were dropped off at the station by a vehicle, police said. The burglars used a pry bar-type object to gain entry to the store, police said. Once inside, they stole cigarettes - 122 cartons worth $2,004 in the first incident and 32 cartons worth $640 in the second - police said.

During one of the burglaries, the suspect car was seen traveling toward Maryland or West Virginia, according to police.

Fulton County Crime Solvers is offering a $250 reward for the identification and arrest of the people involved.
