CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information about a man who disappeared from a day-care residence in Hamilton Township, Pa., in February.

Walter Ray Brown, 65, of 1639 Crottlestown Road, was last seen smoking a cigarette outside that address on Feb. 5. Brown is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has dark gray hair and blue eyes.

He was wearing a blue winter jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt with horses on it and a blue knit cap decorated with white snowflakes, police said. He also was wearing blue jeans, black suspenders, brown work boots and a pair of black glasses, police said.

The report said Brown may have been upset after being terminated from his job at Occupational Services Inc., Chambersburg, the day before his disappearance. Family and day-care workers think he may have been headed for McConnellsburg, Pa.

Although Brown had mental health problems, the report said he can understand and communicate well with people.
