City fills vacancies

July 30, 1998

Hagerstown City Council members filled two vacancies on city boards Tuesday night and reappointed other board members.

Steven Zaks, of Hagerstown, was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Planning Commission. Martha Cornwell had resigned that post because she moved outside city limits.

Zaks' term expires on May 30, 2003.

Brett Wilson, who works at the law firm Schlossberg & Associates, was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board of Zoning Appeals that stemmed from the resignation of Clair Baker.

Wilson's term expires on April 30, 2001.

Reappointed to the Hagerstown Redevelopment Authority were Ruth Ann Barron, Randy Catlett, Pamela Mease and Thomas K. Myers.

Their terms expire Aug. 1, 2001.

All the appointments and reappointments were approved by a 4-0 vote. Councilman Alfred W. Boyer was absent.
