Debra A. Allen

Robert R. Hilton

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Robert R. "Bobby" Hilton, 66, of Charles Town, died Sunday, July 26, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born Dec. 18, 1931, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Reeves R. and Jeannette Lowery Hilton.

He was a graduate of Gonzaga High School, Washington, D.C.

He was an owner and trainer of thoroughbred race horses for 45 years. He was recently honored with his 2,500th winner of his career at Charles Town Races.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He was a member and former president of the Charles Town Division of the Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association.

He served with the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Naval Reserves.

He is survived by one daughter, Ellen H. Walters of Charles Town; his former wife, Ann B. Hilton of Charles Town; and two granddaughters, Samantha J. Walters and Vanessa L. Walters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Charles Town. The Rev. Brian Owens will be celebrant. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to The Old Opera House, 204 N. George St., Charles Town, W.Va. 25414.

Bruce W. Caton

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Bruce William Caton, 69, of Martinsburg, died Monday, July 27, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born May 21, 1929, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John G. and Sarah Snyder Caton.

He retired from Corning Glass Works.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Shepherd Caton, at home; two daughters, Robin Little of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Shelly Deeds of Martinsburg; three sons, Michael Caton, Mark Caton and Todd Caton, all of Martinsburg; one sister, Margaret Hess of Martinsburg; 13 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Rockwell; and three brothers, John Caton, Charles Caton and Wayne Caton.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, Martinsburg. Pastor John Shepherd will officiate with Pastor Jim Shepherd assisting. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Visitation will be at the funeral chapel today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Henry J. Keesecker

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Henry J. "Brownie" Keesecker, 61, of Martinsburg, died Monday, July 27, 1998, at his home.

Born May 16, 1937, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jacob and Lucy Hansrote Keesecker.

He retired from West Virginia Department of Highways.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Bell Keesecker; one daughter, Kimberly Keesecker of Martinsburg; one son, Kevin Keesecker of Martinsburg; two brothers, Isaac "Ike" Keesecker of Logan, W.Va., and Thelmer Hansrote of Illinois; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Dawn Keesecker; four sisters, Edna Gantt, Marie Good, Leona Keesecker and Rachel Siford; and two brothers, Jacob Hansrote and Jack Hansrote.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. L. Jack Rudy will officiate. Burial will be in Allensville Cemetery, west of Hedgesville, W.Va.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Toni M. Gonder

SHARPSBURG - Toni Marie Gonder, 5, of 6103 River Road, died Sunday, July 26, 1998, at Washington County Hospital as the result of an automobile accident.

Born May 17, 1993, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Judy Ann Garrett and Tony Paul William Gonder of Sharpsburg.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Leah Ruth, at home; two brothers, Zachary and Joshua Keith, both at home; and paternal grandmother, Ramona Gonder of Waynesboro, Pa.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Walter and Ruth Garrett; and paternal grandfather, William Gonder.

Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Wilber L. Sites will officiate. Burial will be in Price's Church Cemetery, near Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Children's Miracle Network, 201 W. Reed Hall, Baltimore, Md. 21287.

Daniel R. Sprecher

Daniel Rodger Sprecher, 80, of 17907 W. Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, died Sunday, July 26, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
