Fire destroys home

HANCOCK - There were no injuries from a fire Wednesday that destroyed a mobile home on Rice Road, according to fire officials.

Firefighters were called to the mobile home in front of 14640 Rice Road at 8:34 p.m., officials said. They were still on the scene at 11 p.m.

When they arrived, the mobile home was fully in flames, fire officials said.

No other details were available.

Drug charges filed

Four drug arrests were made Tuesday through the joint efforts of the Washington County Narcotics Task Force and the Street Crimes Unit.


Andrew Glover, 29, of 56 Dual Place, faces charges of distribution of cocaine, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Glover and two teens were taken into custody in the first block of West Franklin Street on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The two boys, ages 15 and 17, each were charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

At 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, NTF agents executed a search warrant at 19857 Lemuel Lane, in Boonsboro, the home of Larry Lee Myers.

Myers, 35, was charged with manufacture of illegal drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pa. bar burglarized

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Compact discs, business documents and change were reported stolen Tuesday from a Chambersburg bar, according to borough police.

The report said a door at Kel's Place, 464 Hollywell Ave., was pried open before noon on Tuesday. The police report said the CDs were worth about $300 and the change was taken from a jukebox.

Auto is vandalized

A vehicle was scratched and items were taken from it while it was parked at the Hancock Truck Stop on Monday, Maryland State Police said.

Among the items taken were money and a necklace.
