Hagerstown won the regional Pony League tournament in Merietta, Ohio, with a 10-9 victory over Tuscarowas (Ohio). They trailed 9-2 before rallying to win the game. Aaron Davis had the game winning hit in bottom of the seventh. Matt Maspiano had two hits and Josh Carter went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer. Jeff Decker relieved Maspiano and earned the win. Hagerstown advances to the zone tournament in East Liverpool, Ohio where they will play Brooklyn, New York on Friday.
Wash. County Girls Softball
Post 202 Williamsport 7, Williamsport Redmen 6: Hanna Chambers got the save with six strikeouts, and Post 202 won the 1998 championship. Julie Gause and Jennifer Cook had two hits each for Post 202.
Emily Shirk had two hits and Shannon Smiles had seven strikeouts for Redmen.
All-Star River City Classic
Maugansville 17, National 11: Justin Weaver led Muagansville with a three-run homer. Adam Merrbaugh, Tyler Braithwaite, Scott Keeney and Cory Monroe all had two hits.
