Dwayne M. Mummert

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Dwayne M. Mummert, 17, of 5069 Rice Hollow Road, died Friday, July 10, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident earlier that morning on Lincoln Way West between Chambersburg and St. Thomas, Pa.

Born April 11, 1981, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Alvin and Cathy E. West Mummert Jr. of 5069 Rice Hollow Road, Greencastle.

He was a senior at James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, Pa., where he played on the school's football and baseball teams. He also was on the journalism committee of the yearbook staff.

He was working in building construction for Laurich Co., Inc. near Chambersburg.

He was a member of Chambersburg Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He played baseball in Mercersburg Colt League; and bowled in Youth League of Buchanan Lanes of Mercersburg.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Shane Mummert and Ty Mummert, both at home; paternal grandfather, Alvin Mummert Sr. of Greencastle; paternal stepgrandmother, Clara Mummert of Greencastle; maternal grandmother, Catherine West of Waynesboro; maternal great-grandmother, Myrtle Rowe of Waynesboro; his girl friend, Samantha Rockwell of Chambersburg; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and cousins.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Salem Ridge Mennonite Church, 441 Pensinger Road, Greencastle. The Rev. Dean Negri will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle; and Monday one hour prior to the services at the church.

Madalynn S. Upperman

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Madalynn Shea Upperman, 3, of 457 S. Seventh St., died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at her home.

Born Oct. 15, 1994, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Brenton J. and Kimberly A. Kiser Upperman.

She attended St. Paul United Methodist Church, Chambersburg.

She is survived by maternal grandparents, Koonie E. and Barbara A. Kegerreis Kiser of Chambersburg; paternal grandmother, Frances Upperman of Chambersburg; maternal great-grandmother, Mary I. Kiser of Chambersburg; and maternal great-grandmother, Hazel L. Rosenberry of Chambersburg.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul B. Baker and the Rev. A. Robert Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Nursery Department, 750 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.

Kimberly A. Upperman

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kimberly Ann Upperman, 32, of 457 S. Seventh St., died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at her home.

Born June 23, 1966, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Koonie E. and Barbara A. Kegerreis Kiser of Chambersburg.

Her husband, Brenton J. Upperman, also died Thursday, July 9, 1998.

She was a 1984 graduate of Chambersburg High School.

She was a dental assistant for Dr. Donnel McHenry of Chambersburg.

She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Chambersburg.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Marcy R. Martin of Greencastle, Pa.; one brother, Christopher W. Kiser of Chambersburg; paternal grandmother, Mary I. Kiser of Chambersburg; and maternal grandmother, Hazel L. Rosenberry of Chambersburg.

Her daughter, Madalynn Shea Upperman also died Thursday, July 9, 1998.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. A. Robert Cook and the Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

There will be no viewing.

Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Brenton J. Upperman

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Brenton J. Upperman, 33, of 457 S. Seventh St., died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at his home.

Born July 20, 1964, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Frances Myers Upperman of Chambersburg and the late Donald B. Upperman.

He was a 1982 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

He was employed as vice president of Upperman's Water Treatment Service Inc. of Chambersburg and South Central Bleu Water Co. Inc. of Chambersburg. He was a certified water specialist and a certified installer.

He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Chambersburg, where he was a past member of Pastor-Parish Relations Committee.
