Letterkenny changing command

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Letterkenny Army Depot will welcome a new commander today when Col. Henry W. Suchting III takes the helm.

The Baltimore native and West Point graduate will accept the post from outgoing commander Col. Thomas Resau at a 10 a.m. ceremony outside Building 522 just inside Gate 1.

Suchting's assignments have included assistant chief of staff for the 4th Infantry Division in Fort Hood, Texas, director of logistics at Fort Knox, Ky., and commander of the 75th Support Battalion, 194th Separate Armor-ed Brigade at Fort Knox.

He also held command positions in Germany and served as an instructor and staff officer in Fort Sill, Okla., and Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.

Resau will become chief of staff of the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Major Gen. James W. Monroe, commanding general of the Army's Industrial Operations Command, will officiate today.
