Suns get washed out

July 01, 1998

Another foe got an unexpected jump on the Suns Tuesday night at Municipal Stadium.

Mother Nature.

A heavier-than-expected downpour was enough for the Suns to postpone Tuesday night's scheduled South Atlantic League game against the Greensboro Bats because of wet grounds.

The game will be made up tonight as part of a doubleheader starting at 6:05. Both games should be low-scoring, with the Suns and Bats ranked 1-2 in the league in pitching.

The twinbill could be a blessing for Hagerstown, which has swept its last four doubleheaders. All four were in the last week of the first half.
