Beth Hose, Student Rep.

Beth Hose has been selected this year's student representative to the Washington County Board of Education.

Hose, who will be a senior at Williamsport High School in the fall, will represent the Washington County Association of Student Councils during meetings of the board.

Although she will sit with the board during meetings, Hose will not have a vote.

She can, however, offer opinions to the board before votes are taken, said school board spokeswoman Donna Messina.

The student representative gives the board a valuable insight into student life and concerns, Messina said.

Hose replaces outgoing student representative Amanda Klugh, also from Williamsport High School, beginning July 1.
