Arts festival slated Saturday

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown will host its annual Family Arts Festival Saturday at 11 a.m.

The festival will offer a full spectrum of hands-on art activities for children of all ages, as well as entertainment. Scheduled activities include clay sculpture, collage, drawing and painting.

At noon, storyteller Crystal Brown will entertain children of all ages with a repertoire of original stories and fairy tales. She will tell string-figure stories in which children will have the opportunity to participate by dressing in costumes and acting out the stories.

The program is funded in part by a grant issued by Washington County Arts Council, Maryland State Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts.

Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
