Crews upgrading Hagerstown's downtown traffic signals expect to close Summit Avenue between Antietam Street and Washington Street this Tuesday, said Gary Street, the contractor's project manager.
Whether the road is closed Tuesday depends on the weather, Street said. It would be shut down between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
There will be various lane closures along Franklin Street starting Tuesday and running through the weekend between Cannon Avenue and Jonathan Street, Street said.
Crews will be digging trenches to lay conduit for signals and a large truck will be sitting in the roadway to dig holes for signal poles, he said.
