Astros 11, Pirates 3: Cody McCarthy and Justin McIntyre had two hits apiece and Derrick Mundey homered to lead the Astros.

National Minor League

Paul Crampton 15, Western Maryland Troopers 11: Michael Hockensmith had three hits and five RBIs and Kyle Mullenix had two hits to pace Paul Crampton. Katie Sirbaugh had two hits for Western Maryland Troopers.

West End Little League

Moose 5, Elks 2: Aaron Wagner, Chris Baker and Adam Thomas collected two hits apiece to lead Moose. Mark Eschinger homered for Elks.


Sharpsburg Little League

Lions 17, Company One 8: Justin Sanders, William Cornell and John Canfield had two hits each for Lions. Josh Hoy and Danny Thomas each had two hits for Company One.

Federal Little League

Rotary 11, Lions 5: Stephen Zerance and Ben Lloyd combined on a two-hitter to lead Rotary. Stephen Muse had two hits, including a home run, and Zerance, Lloyd and Dennis Muse had three hits apiece for the winners.

Halfway Little League

Gibney's 8, Redmen 2: Greg Small had three hits, including a home run, and Jordan Duvall added two hits for Gibney's.

National Little League

Blue Gray Towing 10, Elks 5: James Walling, Lewis Bryan and Matt Cronise each had two hits for Blue Gray. Chris Reed had two hits for Elks.

Smithsburg Little Sluggers

Phil & Jerry's 13, Cavetown Planing 1: Ryan Ianaro had two home runs, Michael Wissinger had two hits and six RBIs and Jacob Pryor had two hits to lead Phil & Jerry's. Doug Dewitt struck out 11 for Cavetown Planing.

South Mountain Little League

Post 10 17, Lions 7: Jacob Munson and Jeremy Fulks had four hits each for Post 10. Tim Kellinger, Josh Lum and Jeff Sink had three hits each and Matthew Thomas, Cameron Shifler and Jonathan Heller had two hits each for the winners. Fulks also homered.

Maugansville Little League

Brewer's Saab 9, Executone 0: Andrew Merrbaugh fired a no-hitter, while Brian Barnhart and Zeb Jacobs had three hits apiece for Brewer's.

Hagerstown Pony League

Jeter Paving 9, Eagles 3: Zach Yinger hit two home runs, while Ryan Wingerd and Matt Allen combined on a three-hitter for Jeter Paving. Chris Sklencar and Matt Johnson homered for Eagles.

Goodwill 6, Firefighters 5: Nick Keller picked up the win to lead Goodwill. Tommy Jesson had two hits, including a home run, and Gary Naile had two hits for Firefighters.

Halfway Senior League

Beaver Mechanical 14, Minnich's 1: Jake Marquis and Cliff Barnhart had two hits apiece to lead Beaver Mechanical.

South County Senior League

Aladdin 16, McClellan Gun Club 3: Adam Miller and Dan Beall had three hits apiece and Keith Woodhams added two for Aladdin.

Maugansville Senior League

Penn Avenue Meats 10, Larry Allen 9: Andrew Hopkins drove in the game-winning run in the top of the seventh for Penn Avenue Meats. Jimmy Smith had three hits for the winners. Jimmy Wilson and Casey Constable each had two hits for Larry Allen.

Washington Co. Girls Softball

FOP 16, Manpower 11: Michelle Hutzell hit a grand slam, while Leslie Spielman and Carrie Shank had two hits each to lead FOP. Denise Sullivan struck out 11 batters for Manpower.

Troopers 25, Larry Allen 9: Jenny Primeaux had four hits and eight RBIs and Brandi Hutchinson and Lydia Griffin had two hits apiece to lead Troopers.


Pinesburg League

J&W Mechanical 23, West End 13: Thornie Linn and Jamie Saylor had four hits each, Troy Carter and Phil Fox had three hits each and James Fann homered to lead J&W Mechanical.

Pick's Place 36, Craig's Paving 16: Kenny Kirby hit two home runs and Charlie Roberson, Billy Bakner and Mick Byers had one apiece to lead Pick's Place. Mike Shoop and Steve McKimmy had six hits each for the winners.

Pick's Place 35, Ernst Market 20: Rocky Wills hit two home runs and Kenny Kirby and Bill Bakner had one each to lead Pick's Place. Wills, Kirby, Ricky Grove and Charlie Roberson had six hits each for the winners.

Hub City League

Lenox 21, Francos 9: Mike Ward had three hits, including two home runs, and Nomar Michael, Jamie Myers and Darren Kinna each had two hits, including a home run, to lead Lenox.

Freddie's Subs 25, Outlaws 24: Donnie Rupt went 7-for-7 with two home runs and Heath Crone hit three home runs for Freddie's. Crone and Jason Draper had five hits each and Kevin Ebersole added four for the winners.


Blue Ridge Adult League

Smithsburg 15, Martinsburg 4: Bobby Miller had four hits and Matt Anderson had three to lead the Yankees over the Blue Sox. Chris Black had two hits and Eric Jones had two hits, including a grand slam, for the winners. Winning pitcher Mike Wagner had eight strikeouts. Joey Cross homered and Tony Ponton had two hits for Martinsburg.
