Site plan approved for truck stop

June 02, 1998

The expansion of the AC&T truck stop on Hopewell Road at Halfway Boulevard was approved by the Washington County Planning Commission Monday night.

AC&T will add about 100 truck parking spots and will construct new fueling lanes on about 13 acres adjoining the truck stop, according to Ad Fulton, AC&T president and owner.

The expansion, which should be complete in six months, also will involve relocating entrances and exits to the truck stop.

The expansion comes as Washington County plans a major upgrade to the Halfway Boulevard/Hopewell Road intersection, including a traffic signal.
