EMMITSBURG, Md. - The Board of Public Works recently approved a $497,750 grant for the design and construction of a new water supply system for the Town of Emmitsburg in Frederick County, Md.
"When this project is finished, more than 2,100 residents of the Town of Emmitsburg will benefit from this project, which will provide new ground water sources, a new water storage tank and a new water treatment facility," said Gov. Parris N. Glendening.
In addition to the state grant, Fredick County is contributing $804,250.
Construction is expected to begin in November and be complete by April 2000.
