Sharpsburg Memorial Day Parade

Where - Main Street from Sharpsburg Elementary School to Antietam National Cemetery, Sharpsburg.

Activities in the town square include the dedication of the town clock at 10:45 a.m., music by Rohrersville Band at 11:15 a.m. and a wreath-laying ceremony at noon. Retired U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Philip Coady, first commander of USS Antietam, will be grand marshal. The parade, with 90 marching units, begins at 1:45 p.m. Immediately following the parade there will be a ceremony at Antietam National Cemetery.

French and Indian War Rendezvous

Where - Fort Frederick State Park, off Interstate 70, exit 12, Big Pool.

When - Today and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost - $3 adults, $2 children 6 to 12, younger than 6 years of age free.
