They have one grandchild.
William and Charlotte Krepp of Hagerstown were honored Sunday, April 5, 1998, at a surprise celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary at Venice Inn.
The party was hosted by their four daughters and their spouses, Suzanne and Bill Beckner of Rockville, Md.; Joanne and Phil Morgan of Maugansville; and Marianne and Brian Hess and Dianne and Dale Brunner, all of Hagerstown. The event was attended by approximately 65 friends and relatives.
The Krepps were married at St. Mary's Church in Hagerstown March 27, 1948, by the Rev. Simon E. Kenney. The couple renewed their vows March 28, 1998, at St. Joseph's Church in Halfway.
Mrs. Krepp is the former Charlotte Huffer, daughter of the late Elmer and Anna Huffer. She is a registered nurse, retired from Washington County Hospital.
Mr. Krepp is the son of the late Frank and Hazel Krepp. He was an examination specialist with the Hagerstown Post Office. He retired in 1984 after 40 years of service.
They have five granddaughters and one grandson.
Ruth and Robert McCutcheon of Greencastle, Pa., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997, at an afternoon reception at Upton Community Center given in their honor by their children.
About 150 friends and relatives attended the reception.
The former Ruth Blackhurst and Bob McCutcheon were married Oct. 10, 1947, at Cass Presbyterian Church in Cass, W.Va., by the Rev. Harry Blackhurst.
Mrs. McCutcheon was once a teacher at a one-room school in Spruce, W.Va., and later a federal employee, working for the late Speaker Sam Rayburn on Capitol Hill.
Mr. McCutcheon was an investigator for the U.S. government, working with the Department of Energy, the Agency for International Development and the State Department.
Mr. and Mrs. McCutcheon are both retired.
Their children and their spouses are Dan and Debbie McCutcheon of Frederick, Md.; Suzanne and Don Ney of Mount Vernon, Wash.; and Rachel McCutcheon of Greencastle. They have six grandchildren.
