The celebration was hosted by the couple's children and their spouses, Michael and Patti Myers, Debbie and Eldon Warrenfeltz, Steven and Lori Myers, Hope and Michael Miley and Kurt and Holly Myers. The Myers have another son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Linda Myers of Phoenix, Ariz., who were unable to attend. Family and friends also attended.
The Myers were married March 20, 1948, in Hagerstown.
Mrs. Myers is the former Betty J. Baker, daughter of the late David and Myrtle (Cass) Baker. She retired from Fleetwood Industries.
Mr. Myers is the son of the late Floyd and Grace Myers. He is a retired master sergeant of the U.S. Air Force and and is retired from Fairchild.
They have 14 grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Cline of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise celebration at Wacohu Grange Hall Sunday, March 8, 1998.
The party was hosted by their daughter and her husband, Ronna and Ed Shehan of Hagerstown, and their son and his wife, Roland and Becky Cline of Hancock. The event was attended by approximately 60 friends and relatives.
The Clines were married at Chewsville United Brethren Church March 6, 1948.
Mrs. Cline is the former Mildred M. Bankard, daughter of the late Earl and Loretta Bankard of Westminster, Md.
Mr. Cline is the son of the late Lemuel and Lillie Cline of Keedysville. He is a veteran of World War II. He retired from Pangborn Corp. in Hagerstown after 44 1/2 years of service.
They have two grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Monninger of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Hickory Bridge Farm Bed 'n' Breakfast in Orrtanna, Pa.
The celebration was hosted by their three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Terry Nalley, Kathy and Mike Dorwart and Laura and Ed Marfut.
The Monningers were married March 29, 1948, in Hagerstown.
Mrs. Monninger is the former Dolores Harbaugh. She is the daughter of the late Alan and Lucy Harbaugh.
Mr. Monninger is the son of the late Harry and Edna Monninger. He retired from The Herald-Mail Co. in 1987.
They have five grandchildren.
