FREDERICK, Md. - A public hearing to review recommended attendance area changes for elementary schools in the Catoctin High School feeder system will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Catoctin High School.
The recommendations were prepared by a citizens' advisory committee formed by Frederick County Schools Superintendent Jack Dale.
The goal is to reduce overcrowding at Thurmont Elementary School by reducing its attendance area and utilizing available space at surrounding schools.
