CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin County investigated 299 criminal offenses in March, according to a report from barracks Commander Lt. Thomas L. Barkdoll.
The report said troopers cleared 123 of those cases and made 172 arrests during the month.
On the highways in the county, state police reported one fatal accident and 91 accidents in which 60 people were injured. There were also 14 hit-and-run accidents reported.
According to Barkdoll, troopers arrested 35 people for driving under the influence in March. Officers handed out 618 traffic citations and another 594 written warnings.
