Daniel W. Youtz

BAKER HEIGHTS, W.Va. - Daniel Wayne Youtz, 38, of Baker Heights, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at his home.

Born June 17, 1959, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of Charles M. Youtz of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Louise Dailey Gosnell and James C. Gosnell of Baker Heights.

He was a 1977 graduate of Martinsburg High School.

He was employed as a driver by Wonder Bread and Hostess.

He was a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church, Martinsburg.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Debra Hott, and her three children, Shane, Sean and Stefan; a sister, Tina Louise Hess of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; a niece and two nephews.


He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles William "Bill" Youtz.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Dennis E. Jackman will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Janice P. Shanholtz

MARION, Pa. - Janice P. Shanholtz, 58, of 264 Colorado St., died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at her home.

Born Sept. 2, 1939, in Guilford Township, Pa., she was the daughter of Mary Pensinger Statler of Menno-Village, Chambersburg, Pa., and the late Lester Picking.

She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School.

She was a homemaker. She assisted her husband in operating L.K. Shanholtz Body Shop, Marion.

She was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ, Marion.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, L. Keith Shanholtz, whom she married on July 5, 1969; a daughter, Carol Gift of Newburg, Pa.; three sons, Brad Gift of Korea, and Alan Shanholtz and Donald Gift II, both of Chambersburg; two stepdaughters, Lori Sanders of Beloit, Wis., and Cyndee Yeargan of Waynesboro, Pa.; four stepsons, Timothy Shanholtz of New Franklin, Pa., James Shanholtz of Lancaster, Pa., Jerry Shanholtz and Andrew Shanholtz, both of Waynesboro; a sister, Delores Kissel of Harrisburg, Pa.; a brother, Donald Picking of Marion; stepfather, Lyman L. Statler of Menno-Village; and 26 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Robin L. Shanholtz; and a stepson, Anthony C. Shanholtz.

There will be no viewing. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. The Rev. Arthur Brown will officiate.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Franklin County Unit, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.

Rebecca L. Straley

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Rebecca L. Straley, 17, of Woodside Drive, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at the home of her uncle, Roger Lee Hornbaker, McConnellsburg.

Born Aug. 31, 1980, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Cindy L. Hornbaker Straley of McConnellsburg and John W. Straley Sr. of Greencastle, Pa.

She was a junior at Central Fulton High School, McConnellsburg. She was enrolled in the nursing assistant program at the Fulton County Vo-Tech School. She had planned to pursue a career in nursing. She was manager of Lady Spartan basketball team.

She attended Evangel Assembly of God Church, McConnellsburg.

In addition to her parents and uncle, she is survived by a sister, Sarah E. Straley of McConnellsburg; two stepsisters, Candy Straley Orris of Dillsburg, Pa., and Crystal Straley of Ocean City, Md.; a stepbrother, John W. Straley Jr. of Dover, Pa.; and maternal grandmother, Phyllis L. Hornbaker of McConnellsburg.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Evangel Assembly of God Church, West Maple Street, McConnellsburg. The Rev. Belvy C. White will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mercersburg, Pa.

Visitation will be at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Thursday one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to Fulton County Long-Term Care Unit, 216 S. First St., McConnellsburg, Pa. 17233.

Katherine M. Keller

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Katherine M. Keller, 76, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.

Born June 30, 1921, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura Pearl Turner Domer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Keller Jr.; and her first husband, Woodrow "Babe" Jones.
