I-68 repairs slated
The State Highway Administration has begun improving Interstate 68 from Orleans Road to the Washington County line in Allegany County.
The project extends about three miles along eastbound and westbound I-68 and is needed to improve pavement conditions and enhance motorist safety, a release from the Maryland Department of Transportation said.
Single-lane closures may occur in each direction along the four-land highway, two lanes in each direction, any time Mondays through Thursdays and until noon on Fridays.
The project will be completed in the summer, weather permitting, the release said.
