Man sentenced in sexual assault
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man was sentenced to 41/2 to 12 years in state prison on sexual assault charges involving a teenage girl.
Donald James Mellott, 40, of 9696 Circle Drive, was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Court by Judge John Walker. Court records stated Mellott pleaded no contest in February to indecent assault and two counts of corruption of a minor.
All of the incidents involved the same girl and occurred between October 1996 and March 1997, according to court records.
He received consecutive 21-month to five-year prison sentences on the corruption charges and another one to two years for the indecent assault.
