Man arrested in wreck
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The man who walked out of Martinsburg City Hospital three days after a head-on collision was found Monday night and arraigned on a charge of third offense driving under the influence.
Police acting on a tip arrested Richard Keith Holliday at the Martinsburg Motel, 1403 N. Queen St., at about 7:30 p.m. Monday, said Sgt. Rob Blair of the West Virginia State Police.
Holliday, 33, of 222 Shenandoah Village, Apt. 3, left the hospital Sunday afternoon.
Police said Holliday was driving a 1985 Dodge Caravan at about 6:20 p.m. on W.Va. 9 in Hedgesville Thursday when he collided with a 1992 Hyundai sedan driven by 22-year-old Wendy Shanholtz, of Martinsburg.
