W.Va. students part of honor academy

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Eight Eastern Panhandle high school juniors are among the 165 students who will participate in the 1998 Governor's Honor Academy this summer.

The academy, which will be July 5-26 at West Virginia Univesity, gives upcoming seniors a chance to challenge their academic skills and clarify their educational goals.

The program, designed for students who meet the highest academic standards, offers two courses. The first focuses on the students' greatest academic ability and the second expands students' knowledge of other subjects.
