Bruchey told to take it easy
Hagerstown Mayor Robert E. Bruchey II missed Tuesday afternoon's mayor and City Council work session on the advice of his doctor, said City Administrator Bruce Zimmerman.
Bruchey, 39, has a bacterial infection in his sinuses and was advised by his doctor to take it easy this week, Zimmerman said.
Councilman Alfred W. Boyer chaired Tuesday's meeting in Bruchey's absence.
Bruchey returned home from the University of Maryland Medical Center last Thursday after undergoing an angioplasty last Wednesday.
Zimmerman said Bruchey expects to return to City Hall next week.
