WAYNESBORO, Pa. - A 16-year-old Quincy Township, Pa., boy was listed in serious condition at Hershey Medical Center Thursday night after the tractor he was driving rolled over and pinned him on Helman Road, according to a relative of the boy.
State police had no report on the accident at press time.
It took rescuers more than 30 minutes to free the youth, according to Ronald Helman, who said he is a great-uncle of the victim.
A cable was used to raise the heavy International tractor so the youth could be pulled from underneath it.
The tractor rolled over on Helman Road just past a sharp curve.
The youth was flown from the scene to the hospital by helicopter.
Another youth was on the tractor when it rolled over.
He was shaken up but uninjured, Ronald Helman said.
