BRADDOCK HEIGHTS - A Hagerstown man was charged Saturday afternoon by Frederick County sheriff's deputies with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and speeding.

Officers said they charged David Steven Dagenhart Jr., 22, after they stopped him for speeding.

Officers said a search of his car revealed over one-half pound of suspected marijuana divided into several individual baggies.

Dagenhart was stopped at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and South Clifton Road, police said.

NEWVILLE, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg are investigating the theft Friday of 50 pigeons from a coop in the 9200 block of Otterbein School Road.

FREDERICK, Md. - A man was charged by Frederick City police Friday morning with littering after he refused to throw refuse into a trash can at the order of an officer.

Police said Larry V. Franklin, 48, of Frederick, was stopped by Officer Robert Marker at the intersection of Ice Street and West South St. when the officer saw him allegedly drop a piece of refuse on the ground.

When he allegedly couldn't get Franklin to put the refuse in a trash can, he charged Franklin, police said.
