IRS schedules Problem Solving Day

March 07, 1998

Taxpayers who have long-standing problems with the Internal Revenue Service can get face-to-face assistance from IRS employees during a Problem Solving Day in Hagerstown on Wednesday, March 11.

Taxpayers will be seen by appointment and on a walk-in basis from noon to 8 p.m. at the Ramada Inn, 901 Dual Highway.

Appointments should be scheduled by Monday, March 9. Call 301-790-4018.

The day is designed for people who have nagging problems, like IRS bills they thought were resolved but keep coming or a social security number that doesn't match what's on file with the IRS.

Taxpayers should bring any relevant documentation or correspondence with them.

Problems can also be resolved by telephone through the IRS Problem Resolution Office. Call 800-829-1040.
