Louise E. Gaver

MYERSVILLE, Md. - Louise E. Gaver, 83, of Church Hill Road, died Monday, March 2, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.

Born March 25, 1914, in Lakeside, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Parkinson Routenberg.

Her husband, Dr. Leo J. Gaver, died in 1995.

She was a 1931 graduate of Catonsville High School.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Myersville, and had been a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baltimore and the church choir.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Gaver Whistler of Myersville; and two grandchildren, Christine Whistler of Arlington, Va., and Robert Whistler, serving with the U.S. Navy in Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Gaver; and one brother, Tommy Routenberg.

Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Church Hill Road, Myersville. The Rev. David Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Myersville.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 13, Myersville, Md. 21773.

James E. Mellott Jr.

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - James E. Mellott Jr., 21, of HCR 80, Box 176, died Monday, March 2, 1998, on Timber Ridge Road, Fulton County, Pa.

Born Dec. 17, 1976, in McConnellsburg, he was the son of Alice M. Keefer Mellott of McConnellsburg, and the late James E. Mellott Sr.

He was employed as a welder by JLG Industries in McConnellsburg.

He was a member of McConnellsburg VFW.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Tammy Smith of Needmore, Pa.; and his maternal grandmother, Clara M. Keefer of McConnellsburg.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Mennonite Church, McConnellsburg. The Rev. Keith Clugston and Elijah Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, Pa.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St., McConnellsburg, and at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m.

Della A. Pryor

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Della A. Pryor, 91, of 98 Carlton Circle, St. Thomas, Pa., and a resident of Franklin County Nursing Home, died Sunday, March 1, 1998, at the nursing home.

Born March 10, 1906, in Upperstrasburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James W. and Clara A. Mower Douglas.

Her husband, Albert L. "Ely" Pryor, died in 1969.

She was previously employed at Letterkenny Army Depot.

She was a member of Mount Olivet United Brethren Church, Edenville, Pa.

She is survived by one daughter, Lois Yeakle of St. Thomas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in St. Thomas. The Rev. Stan McCammon will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 9 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Mount Olivet United Brethren Church, 8205 Fort McCord Road, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.

Margaret V. Gossert

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Margaret V. Gossert, 86, of 217 Lincoln Drive, died Sunday, March 1, 1998, at Franklin County Nursing Home in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born May 13, 1911, in Fayetteville, she was the daughter of the late Milton R. and Nora Brookens Reasner.

Her husband, Robert W. "Bob" Gossert, died in 1993.

She was a lifelong member of Coldspring United Brethren Church and Women's Missionary Association.

She is survived by one brother, Donald Reasner of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Kerby Skinner and Zandra Skinner; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Coldspring United Brethren Church, 1094 Brookens Road, Fayetteville. The Rev. Peter S. Edwards and the Rev. Lester E. Kauffman will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg.

Kenneth E. Mowen

Kenneth Edward Mowen, 66, of 20302 Lehmans Mill Road, Hagerstown, who died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, is survived by a brother, Marshall "Sonny" Gallion of Clear Spring.
