IRS offering assistance

Taxpayers in Western Maryland are invited to an Internal Revenue Service Problem Solving Day from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the Ramada Inn at 901 Dual Highway in Hagerstown.

Taxpayers should enter through Entrance E and follow signs to Problem Solving Day.

On this day, individuals who have had difficulty with long-standing tax problems will have an opportunity to meet with IRS employees face-to-face concerning their case.

Taxpayers interested in scheduling appointments with the IRS should call 301-790-4018. Appointments should be scheduled by Monday, March 9, but walk-in taxpayers will also be accommodated. Taxpayers should bring any relevant documentation or correspondence with them.
