FREDERICK, Md. - Gov. Parris Glendening will be among several dignitaries at a ceremony Monday at Frederick Community College to establish the Catoctin Center for Regional Studies at FCC.
The program will begin at 10 a.m. in the Jack B. Kussmaul Theater, Arts and Student Center. A reception will follow in the lobby.
The center, in part, will create an academic program at FCC to study regional history in central Maryland and neighboring portions of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia. A variety of groups will be able to share historical information and resources and plan lectures, exhibits and conferences.
