FBI seeks man in robberies

The FBI is looking for a man wanted in connection with area bank robberies and who is believed to have participated in a multi-state crime spree, authorities said.

John Dennis Grubb, 53, also known as Dennis Grubb and Dennis Grube, is wanted in connection with the Sept. 11 robbery of First Union Bank in Baltimore; the Oct. 17 robbery of Provident Bank in Lutherville; and the Jan. 16 robbery of NationsBank in Baltimore, where photos were taken.

Grubb also is being sought in connection with robberies from New Mexico through Ohio, the Carolinas and Pennsylvania.

Primarily a note-passer, Grubb is known to have a 9mm pistol, authorities said. A weapon has been displayed on several occasions, they said.

The FBI and the Maryland Association for Bank Security (MABS) are offering a reward for information leading to Grubb's arrest and indictment.
