City man held in assault

Hagerstown City Police Thursday picked up a 34-year-old man suspected of carjacking, kidnapping and assault in a Jan. 24 incident.

Ronald William Curry Jr., of 914 Kuhn Ave., was being held Sunday on $102,062 bond, according to Washington County Detention Center officials.

Curry is accused of accosting John Jeremy Muller, taking his car and driving around the county before stopping the car in the 8000 block of Downsville Pike, police reports said.

Muller took that opportunity to flee the car and run to a nearby house to request help. When police arrived, the suspect and the car were gone, police reports said.
