Truck crashes into house

MAUGANSVILLE - Maryland State Police are searching for the driver of a gray Chevrolet truck which struck another truck, shoving it into a house.

Police said Glendall Martin, 20, of Hagerstown, was driving a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck southbound on Greencastle Pike near Cindy Lane at about 5:45 p.m. when he slowed to make a right turn into a driveway.

A Chevrolet behind Martin's truck failed to stop and struck the rear of the pickup, forcing it over an embankment in front of 14414 Greencastle Pike, police said.

Martin's truck then jumped the embankment and hit the house, owned by Dennis Neikirk.

The driver of the gray or primer-colored Chevrolet fled the scene, police said.

Martin was treated at Washington County Hospital for minor injuries and released.
