Interagency Council meeting today

The public is invited to attend and participate in the next Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) of the Washington County Early Intervention Program.

The program offers comprehensive services to infants and toddlers with, or at risk for, developmental delay.

The meeting will be from 8:15 to 10 a.m. today at Marshall Street School, 1350 Marshall St., Hagerstown.

Computer topics covered in 1 day

Hagerstown Junior College's Division of Continuing Education is now offering a Hands-On Seminar Series that allows students to master a topic in a single day.

Computer topics covered include: Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0, MS Office 95, MS Office 97, Outlook 97, MS Word 7.0, MS Excel 7.0, MS Powerpoint 7.0, MS Access 7.0 and WordPerfect 7.0.

Classes are held throughout January, February and March. Tuition includes lunch and textbook and costs $70 for a single-day seminar and $150 for a two-day seminar. Each seminar begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m.

Hagerstown Junior College's Division of Continuing Education has a new computer tech program titled Network Repair Tech, a 200-hour course designed to introduce students to the hottest area of growth.

Licensure programs available at HJC

Hagerstown Junior College's Division of Continuing Education is offering career programs for those seeking licensure in a new career and for licensed individuals who need continuing education credits to maintain their licensing status.

Some classes being offered in January and February are: Property Disclosures, Principles and Practices, and Preparing for the Home Improvement Examination.
