Counterfeit checks passed; tools stolen

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A unknown person printed up two counterfeit checks on a computer and passed them off to Sears Friday, said Pennsylvania State Police.

No amount was put on the loss to the department store.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A 22-year-old Clinton, Tennessee man's vehicle was broken into sometime early Friday and tools stolen.

The truck owned by Jason Alan Watson had been left unlocked and the thief emptied various compartments between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday, said Pennsylvania State Police.

The truck was parked at the Travel Port Rodway Lodge, police said.
