The Keedys

Mr. and Mrs. John A. Keedy Sr. of Rohrersville celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at Old Pike Inn in Boonsboro Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997.

The celebration was hosted by the couple's children, John Keedy Jr. of Rohersville and Kimberly Wesmiller of Gapland, along with their spouses and families.

Family and friends attended.

The Keedys were married Dec. 7, 1957, by the Rev. David Ring of Boonsboro.

Mrs. Keedy is the former Patsy Hutzell.

Mr. Keedy is employed as an automobile mechanic at Fredericktown Toyota.

They have three grandchildren.

The Haineses

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel W. Haines Jr. of Chewsville celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 12, 1997, at Airport Inn in Hagerstown.

The celebration was hosted by their daughter and her husband and their two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Haineses were married July 13, 1932.

The Snyders

Irene and Bill Snyder celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Jan. 3.

They were married in New Jersey and have resided in the Hagerstown area for the last 36 years.

Mrs. Snyder is the former Irene Malkiewicz.

Mr. Snyder is retired from Mack Trucks Inc.

The Hoses

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hose of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th anniversary Saturday, Dec. 27, 1997, by renewing their wedding vows at Hagerstown Bible Church.

A reception with friends and family followed in the church's social room.

The celebration was hosted by their children and their spouses, Edward and Sharon Koogle of Hagerstown, Robert and Janice Hose of Hagerstown and Air Force Maj. Larry Hose of Killeen, Texas.

The Hoses were married Dec. 25, 1947, by the Rev. Cronise Barr, an uncle of Mrs. Hose.

Mrs. Hose (Bernie) is the former Evelyn Moats, daughter of Luther and Elton Moats. She worked as a crossing guard in Hagerstown and as an instructional assistant with Washington County Board of Education, retiring in 1988.

Mr. Hose (Jack), the son of Ellsworth and Margaret Hose, worked in engineering at Pangborn Corp. for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He is a veteran of World War II.

They have four grandchildren.

The Moores

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Moore of Keedysville were honored at a surprise 40th anniversary party Sunday, Dec. 14, at Boonsboro Fire Hall.

The celebration was hosted by their children and their spouses, Dave and Tina Moore of Boonsboro, Rick and Mary Moore of Centerville, Pa., and Todd and Marleen Moore of Keedysville.

The Moores were married Dec. 24, 1957.

Mrs. Moore is the former Lorraine Shumaker, daughter of the late John and Florence Shumaker. She is employed with Caldwell Manufacturing Co. of Williamsport.

Mr. Moore is the son of the late Walter and Hilda Moore. He is employed with Thompson's Gas in Boonsboro.

They have six grandchildren.
