There were no other injuries, according to Manetta. He said another trooper had information about the vehicle that struck the woman, but that officer had not returned to the barrack.

Police did not release details of the accident, which closed the northbound lanes until 10:40 p.m. while emergency personnel cleared the scene and police conducted their investigation.

The southbound lanes were also closed for a period after the accident, but Manetta said he didn't know when the highway reopened.
