City Park work planned
The lower lake at City Park will be drained in April and $200,000 worth of repairs to the lake wall along Virginia Avenue will be made during the summer, said Rodney Tissue, Hagerstown's assistant city engineer.
The fish in the lake may have to be relocated, he said.
Tissue said the wall is probably as old as the lake, which is about 60 years old. Parts of the wall are missing.
The wall along the north end was repaired during the summer of 1995.
The wall along the lake's south end and near the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts probably will be repaired in three years, he said.
