Elizabeth S. Brown
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Elizabeth S. Brown, 86, of Manor Care Home, and formerly of 31 W. Third St., Waynesboro, Pa., died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at the home.
Born July 11, 1911, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Washington and Bertha N. Stouffer Speak.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Brown, in 1984.
She was a 1932 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
She was a member of Church of the Brethren in Waynesboro, where she was a member of Homebuilders Sunday School Class.
She was a member and was recently on the roll as honorary member of Chambersburg Garden Club, Chambersburg; member of Antietam Garden Club; charter member of SPARS Rose Society; member of Waynesboro Historical Society and Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Natalie Louise Newcomer of Waynesboro; one sister, Kathryn Summers of Waynesboro; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard G. Speak.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Snyder-Lochstampfor Funeral Home Inc., corner of South Church and West Second streets, Waynesboro. The Rev. Roger Cales will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
At her request, memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund, Church of the Brethren, 117 S. Church St., Waynesboro, Pa. 17268.
Jacob A. Kesselring
SMITHSBURG - Jacob Aaron Kesselring, 4 months old, of 14236 Misty Meadow Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997, at Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, Pa.
Born Aug. 12, 1997, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Julian E. Kesselring Jr. and Tamara N. Rankin.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Audrey Wolford of Hagerstown and George Rankin of Richfield, Minn.; paternal grandparents, Linda and Julian Kesselring Sr. of Smithsburg; maternal great-grandparents, Gloria Wolford and Margaret Rankin, both of Hagerstown; paternal great-grandparents, Dorothy Emmons of West Virginia, Ira High of Ohio, Helen Kesselring and Julian Cauffman; one aunt; and three uncles.
He was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Frederick Rich Wolford and Kenneth E. Rankin Sr.
Services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Ed Hampton will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
William E. Geary Jr.
William E. Geary Jr., 80, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 18, 1917, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late William E. and Mammie J. Secrest Geary.
He retired as manager of shipping and receiving with Montgomery Ward after 38 years of service.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Hagerstown.
He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge 378.
He is survived by his wife, Emma G. Kershner Geary; one son, Michael E. Geary of Hagerstown; and one sister, Josephine G. Rhodes of Hagerstown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. The Rev. Andrew S. Mohl will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 6:30 p.m.

Flora E. Seabolt
RANSON, W.Va. - Flora Emma Seabolt, 72, of Ranson, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson.
Born June 4, 1925, in Ewing, Va., she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Lora Carmony Bledsoe.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Baptist faith.
