She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Parkinson and Lee Parkinson.
Services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. R. Shawn Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today one hour prior to the service.
Edith M. Ray
Edith Minnie Ray, 85, of Ravenwood Nursing Home, Hagerstown, and formerly of Rice Road, Hancock, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born Aug. 3, 1912, in Warfordsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie Seal Barnhart.
She retired from Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where she worked as a housekeeper.
She was a member of Orchard Ridge First Church of God, Hancock, and was a member of the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her husband, Chester L. Ray, whom she married Dec. 31, 1953; two daughters, Darlene Hollar of Buffalo, N.Y., and Norma Perrin of Bedford, Pa.; one son, Bernard Foor of Buffalo; one brother, Harry Barnhart Jr. of Hancock; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one son, Donnie Foor.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Orchard Ridge First Church of God, Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock. The Rev. Jeff Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church Wednesday one hour prior to the service. For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open today from 2 to 9 p.m.
Hazel I. Canfield
Hazel Irene Canfield, 79, of 771 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, and formerly of Sharpsburg, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, at her home.
Born March 2, 1918, in Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Seibert and Mary Mae Jamison Churchey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vaughn Canfield, in 1985.
She was employed by Interwoven Silk Mill in Martinsburg, W.Va., and Federal Silk Mill in Williamsport.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Sharpsburg.
She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 738, Martinsburg, and Antietam Post 236 American Legion Auxiliary, Sharpsburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Michael of Texas; two sons, Donald G. Canfield of Sharpsburg and Richard L. Canfield of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; four sisters, Ethel V. Semler and Margaret P. Hazelton, both of Hagerstown, Lillian L. Darner of Middletown, Md., and Alta Mae Crampton of Sharpsburg; three brothers, Joseph E. Churchey and Clifford S. Churchey, both of Sharpsburg, and Elwood L. Churchey of Hagerstown; 14 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert E. Canfield; two sisters, Phyllis J. Gray and Dorothy I. Byrd; and two brothers, Charles M. Churchey and Fred F. Churchey.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg. The Rev. Blaine E. Feightner will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will be open today at 9 a.m.

BOONSBORO - Frances Dorothy Shank, 75, of Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home, and formerly of Sharpsburg, who died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, was the daughter of the late Joseph Augustus and Maude Sanders Davis.

Roy William Green, 82, who died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, resided at 115 Jonathan St., Hagerstown.
Ruth E.H. Hause
Ruth Elizabeth Hollenshead Hause, 76, of 10805 Rosewood Drive, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1921, near Greencastle, Pa., in Antrim Township, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Emma C. Angle Hollenshead.
She was employed by Seals Grocery Store on Pennsylvania Avenue in Hagerstown, and was last employed by Fleisher's Department Store in Hagerstown as a sales person.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lou Ditmer of Hagerstown; and one granddaughter, Amanda Ditmer of Hagerstown.
