Senior menus

The Washington County Commission on Aging offers noon lunches to anyone over 60 years old at seven locations - Hancock, Smithsburg, Keedysville, Williamsport and three in Hagerstown.

A two-day reservation notice is required and a donation is asked per meal. For information, call 301-790-0275.

Weekly menu Dec. 17-23

Wednesday - Chili con carne, rice, tossed salad, corn muffin, chipped apples and dates and milk.

Thursday - Roasted turkey and gravy, whipped potatoes, sauerkraut, peas, cranberry sauce, stuffing, ice cream cup and milk.

Friday - Maryland seafood chowder, cheese bun, rice pilaf, pineapple and milk.

Monday - Teriyaki strips with sauce, rice, peas, whole-grain bread, tropical fruit and milk.

Tuesday - Thick vegetable soup, hot ham and cheese sandwich, fruit cocktail, sugar cookies and milk.



Weekly menu Dec. 24-30

Wednesday - Meat loaf and gravy, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, whole-grain bread, pears and milk.

Thursday - closed, Christmas Day.

Friday - Salmon patty, orange glazed sweet potatoes, green beans, whole-grain bread, Waldorf salad, cherry turnover and milk.

Monday - Stuffed peppers with rice, corn, green bean casserole, whole-grain bread, peaches and milk.

Tuesday - Beef Stroganoff over noodles, cooked carrots, whole-grain bread, pineapple and milk.
