Oliver Award goes to Pensinger

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Robert "Red" Pensinger, past chairman of the Old Home Week Parade, past president of the Allison-Antrim Museum and local volunteer, is the 1997 recipient of the annual James P. Oliver Award by the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce.

The award is named after James P. Oliver, a well-known community activist who died in 1992, said Chamber President Lori Coover.

Pensinger was honored for his volunteer efforts on behalf of the Boy Scouts, Little League, Football Boosters, Exchange Club and the Lions Club. He is secretary for Old Home Week 1998 and is a past president of the Chamber, a member of the Greencastle-Antrim Area Development Corporation, the Grove Medical Board and the Greencastle-Antrim Foundation.
