Holiday Helpers

Long & Foster is launching its eighth annual toy drive throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Between now and Friday, each of the company's sales offices will collect toys for distribution to financially and/or physically disadvantaged children within the local community.

Drop new unwrapped toys at Long & Foster offices.

Once the toys are collected and presented to the Marines, they are distributed to area churches and social welfare agencies to the neediest children throughout this region.

The "Toys for Tots" program, which was begun by the Marines in 1947, is an annual toy collecting drive, spearheaded by the Marines in 200 cities across the nation.

Long & Foster collected more than 15,000 new toys throughout the Mid-Atlantic region last year.

If your organization is sponsoring a holiday charity drive, send information to the attention of Terry Headlee, City Editor, The Herald-Mail, 100 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, Md. 21740. Holiday Helpers will run periodically throughout the holiday season.
